After September 16, 2022, no person may produce an unmanned aircraft for operation in the airspace of the United States under a design approval or production approval issued under part 21 of this chapter unless: (a) All applicable requirements of part 21 of this chapter are met; and (b) The unmanned aircraft is— (1) Designed and produced to meet the minimum performance requirements for standard remote identification unmanned aircraft established in (2) Equipped with Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) Out equipment that meets the requirements of § 91.225 of this chapter.
