(a) Any person to be selected as a member or alternate of the Board shall, prior to such selection, qualify by providing such background information as necessary and by advising the Secretary that he/she agrees to serve in the position for which nominated. (b) The Board, with approval of the Secretary, may establish additional eligibility requirements for grower members on the Board.
